Terms of service

These terms cover your use of NameBento, a website that lists a small selection of domain names for sale, and its email updates. By using the site or subscribing, you agree to them.

Who runs this

NameBento is published by Mehdi Amrane, sole trader (entrepreneur individuel), 254 rue Vendôme, 69003 Lyon, France. SIREN 839 341 872. Publication director: Mehdi Amrane. Reach us at hello@namebento.com. The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Floor 2, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA.

What NameBento does

We select domain names that we own, write them up, and list them here at a fixed price. There are no auctions and no negotiation: the price shown is the price you pay.

How buying works

Every domain is sold through Namecheap Market, Namecheap's own marketplace. The Buy button on a domain's page leads to its listing there. You pay Namecheap, and Namecheap moves the domain from our account to yours. Namecheap Market's terms govern the checkout, the payment and the delivery.

• Domains are sold first come, first served, and each one exists once. A name sold on Namecheap may still show here for a short while.
• The registration carries over as it is: the domain keeps its current expiry date, and renewing it afterwards is owed to your registrar.

Your responsibility for the name

We pick each domain on how it reads as a name. We do not run trademark searches, and we make no claim that a name is free to use in your country or your sector. Before you build a business on one, clear it yourself, with a lawyer if the stakes warrant it. Descriptions, suggested uses and comparable names on this site are editorial opinion, not advice.

The emails

Subscribing is free. We email when new names go up, with no fixed schedule. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. We may stop sending at any time.

Using the site

The text, layout and images on this site belong to us. You may read, quote and link to them. You may not scrape the site wholesale or republish listings as your own.

Liability

The site is provided as it is. We are not liable for losses arising from a domain being sold before you reached it, or from a name turning out to be unsuitable for your purpose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under French law, including your rights as a consumer.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date above shows the last change. These terms are governed by French law, and the courts of Lyon have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the protections you are entitled to as a consumer in your country of residence.
